’追逐夢想‘展覽的尾聲,THE STUDIO聚辦了一場特別的藝術餐會,以'Gently Experience the Memories of Another ' (細品回憶)為主題,將藝術家Michael 曾經旅居各地的故事,幻化為桌上美食,給予賓客們視覺與味覺的沈浸式體驗。Michael 希望晚餐中的每道菜餚扮演感官的時光機,讓一同參與的人,透過味蕾,體驗他曾經的情感和回憶。
As the culmination of the "Chasing Dreams" exhibition, THE STUDIO hosted a special art dinner under the theme "Gently Experience the Memories of Another." Transforming into an immersive experience, THE STUDIO curated dishes inspired by the stories of artist Michael's travels around the world. Each course served as a sensory time machine, allowing guests to taste and feel Michael's emotions and memories through their palates. With every bite, participants embarked on a journey through Michael's past, delving into the depths of his experiences and the essence of his adventures. Through the fusion of art and gastronomy, THE STUDIO created a memorable evening where guests not only savored exquisite flavors but also connected intimately with the artist's narrative, leaving them with a lasting impression of shared experiences and newfound inspirations.

▎A SENSORY DINING EXPERIENCE Featuring the works of Michael Vincent Manalo(MVM)
Michael:「創作者夢總是孤獨,但又使人獨立的。」曾旅居各地的Michael在每個文化交匯、每位相識的人、每一次挑戰中,慢慢萃取出屬於自己的故事。
關於這段旅程,大腦能儲存的回憶有限,所以我們依賴味蕾,將每道菜餚化為感官時光機,重溫情感和回憶。
加入這場充滿自然、美食、回憶的沈浸式餐會,與Michael共同品味充滿奇遇的旅程,細緻感受每個目的地的氛圍。
Michael: 'The dream of a creator is often solitary, yet it makes one independent.' Fortunately, having lived in various places, Michael slowly extracts his unique story from the intersections of cultures, the people he meets, and the challenges he faces.
Since our brain's capacity to store travel memories is limited, we rely on our taste buds. Each dish becomes a sensory time machine, allowing us to relive emotions and memories.

▎森林與海洋.沈浸式用餐 The Forest and the Ocean: An Immersive Dining Experience
森林與海洋為Michael的創作源泉,在’追逐夢想‘畫作中,個體在森林與海洋徘徊,象徵其追夢的孤獨和一無反顧。因此,THE STUDIO分別將主菜設計為「森林」與「海洋」,又結合Michael旅居過的城市--波蘭、丹麥,希望在味覺上契合藝術家心境。此外,Michael將森林與海洋的聲音錄製進MP3中,賓客依照主餐的選擇,於用餐前聆聽,沈浸於大自然的環繞中。
The forest and the ocean serve as Michael's wellsprings of inspiration. In his artwork "Chasing Dreams," individuals wander amidst the forest and the ocean, symbolizing the loneliness and unwavering pursuit of their dreams. Thus, THE STUDIO crafted the main courses to reflect "Forest" and "Ocean," respectively, intertwining with the cities Michael has traveled to—Poland and Denmark—in order to align with the artist's state of mind through taste. Additionally, Michael recorded the sounds of the forest and the ocean into MP3 files, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the embrace of nature by listening to them before their meal, depending on their choice of the main course.

▎用一頓飯認識一位藝術家 Getting to Know an Artist Over a Meal
如第一道菜燻鮭魚開面三明治,Michael 解釋到,一個寒冷的冬日,大雪飄落在古老的煤氣廠建改建成的一間藝廊,他坐在那裡等待藝廊老板,藝廊老闆出現時手裡拿著一個白色的盒子。當打開時,他聽到他說了一個詞 - Smorrebrod,這個詞一直留在Michael心中,成為風味的靈感,即使他離開哥本哈根後仍然記憶猶新。
接著,我們品嚐著少見的喬治亞菜餚Kharcho,一種混合牛肉、蔬菜、核桃與米的濃湯,對Michael而言,他造訪喬治亞首都第比利斯的秋天,是他藝術充分綻放的時候,他記得一次夜晚的慶祝,寒風襲來,幾位朋友帶他去了這個溫暖之地古老城區的一家餐廳。來自薩卡特維洛的這份熱湯,觸動了他的內心深處,至今在回想起來時仍能感受到那份溫暖。
品嚐每一道菜,我們彷彿走過藝術家的追逐夢想與創作的旅程。
As the first course, we are presented with an open-faced smoked salmon sandwich. Michael recounts a vivid memory of a cold winter's day, where snowflakes danced around an old gasworks turned art gallery in Copenhagen. He sat patiently, awaiting the gallery owner, who arrived with a white box in hand. Upon opening it, Michael heard him utter a word - Smorrebrod. This word lingered in Michael's mind, becoming a source of culinary inspiration that persisted long after he left Copenhagen.
Next, we indulge in a rare Georgian dish called Kharcho, a hearty soup made with a blend of beef, vegetables, walnuts, and rice. For Michael, visiting Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, in the autumn was a time when his artistry blossomed fully. He recalls a celebratory evening with friends, where the chill of the night air was dispelled by the warmth of a restaurant nestled in the ancient district of the city. This hot soup from Sakhartvelo touched his soul deeply, leaving him with a lasting sense of warmth that he still feels when reminiscing about that moment.
With each dish we savor, it feels as though we are traversing the journey of the artist's pursuit of dreams and creative endeavors.
